- 24 July 2008 (Reuters) Milan police have now issued a statement following the discovery of a body at today’s Runway Show, causing massive disruption to the Environmental World Fashion Show. The victim was found stabbed with over 1000 crochet hooks, which were left impaled in the corpse. The statement reveals that the nature of injuries are so severe that the police are unable to determine the identity, or even the gender, of the deceased, until a full autopsy is conducted.
It is also believed that the body was not only stabbed to death but that the deceased was also forced to swallow several balls of plastic yarn or “plarn” prior to the mutilation and coup de grace by the hooks. Additionally, the victim’s hands had been severed and were not found at the scene. The hands may have been “souvenired” by the killer or removed to further obscure the murdered person’s identity.
There are, reportedly, no suspects at this time.
You know… I’m all for recycling but…………

I’m down with plarn myself, but I was thinking of making a cute doormat or perhaps coasters… nothing that would touch my flesh!

This is a lovely example of trash bag fashion and yet the model appears to be quite pissed off. Methinks she’s auditioning to be the next Borg Queen. This has compelled me to see if I can crochet an eye-popping outfit from all the goat feed bags piling up in the barn. I can use the ‘berries’ for beading… Oh yeah, it’s gonna be great.

She… or he… or it… looks incredibly angry. I suspect I would be, too, if forced to wear such a thing.
I’d be even more angry if I knew I’d be photographed in it.
Let’s have a little pity for the model, eh? I suspect it was a traumatic experience all around.
