Not what you want to see in the bathroom, early in the morning..

Picture this:

Blissful dark. Comfy pillows. Doona. 400thread count Egyptian Cotton Satin Finish sheets washed in Lavender Wool Mix (trust me on this).

*SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH*BUZZ*BUZZ*BUZZ*BUZZZ*

The alarm shatters you from your peaceful slumber at Odarksomethingawful and you stagger into the harsh fluro-lit environment.

You catch sight of yourself in the mirror.

Haggard face, dark circles that a Panda would be proud of and hair that is exploring the “Matted” trend with a sub-theme of “Psychotic”.

*squint*

You feel like Death.

You *look* like Death warmed up.

And then… to reinforce how close to death you feel, you see

Yes.

It’s  A Crocheted Vulture.

Be afraid.

Be very afraid.

  1. Be afraid be very afraid…..

  2. That is laugh out loud funny!

  3. What can I say? I think it’s fantastic. It’d be a great birthday present for the friend or family member who is just a little older than you. :)

  4. Imagine when it swoops down to eat the crocheted roadkill laying on the bathmat…

  5. Is it supposed to be in the bathroom, like a tp cozy or something? Because I would make one, but not really for the bathroom. In fact, I’d make one for my dad…

  6. Honestly, I think it’s kind of awesome.

  7. Having one of these babies hanging around the house would remind me not to sit in one place too long. I want googly eyes on mine though.

  8. is that thing smiling?

  9. WANT!

  10. It’s cute as a child’s toy. I personally don’t see anything wrong with it.

  11. Yep. I want the pattern.

  12. LOL Lisa, I want the pattern for the roadkill! :-)

  13. What’s wrong with that? It’s awesome! Awesome! I want one, and I want to make one too. It’s adorable.

  14. aww i think he’s cute

  15. I love it! I have the pattern and I have always said “one of these days I am so going to make one”. My dad’s birthday is coming up, and I think maybe it’s time to dust off the pattern and make it. He’s old, he’ll love it. lol!

  16. This is wonderful! It’s the sort of crazy toy I’d have made for my children when they were young! And before you ask… they have grown up perfectly normal!

  17. I think it’s awesome and would totally make it. Is it frightening and a little bit disturbing? yes!

  18. You are SO harsh. It’s ADORABLE!!!!

  19. Well, if you’re going to make Mowgly and Baloo, you might as well make one of these guys. I would, if I had the pattern for the other Jungle Book characters.

  20. after that build-up i was expecting a shower curtain done to look like Munich’s “The Scream”

  21. He’s gorgeous although the twisted smirk and the staring eye are a bit worrying. Definitely wouldn’t want to see him first thing though

  22. I absolutely love it! LOL! Admittedly, not for everyone. But being the type of person who A. enjoys amigurumi and B. generally prefers the darker side of life…

    I think it’s FUN! XD
