Sorry.. I just couldnt resist!!!
There are facts that must be acknowledged about ornaments and crafts and trinkets. They usually involve Cats, Angels, smiley Faced suns, Pigs, cows, sometimes ducks. There’s stars thrown about and glitter as well, all with little homilies and slogans.
A little bit is ok. Its good for you.
Its whimsical and it makes people smile.
Which I am all for.
However, I dont willingly buy much with cows on it. Unless I can buy my farm soon..
I’m sitting here humming “Cows with Guns” to myself.
Crocheting Whimsical items… There is plenty of it around, its traditional.
In todays terms: making Angels is fine, Stars and smiling faces absolutely!
Crochet involving cows - there are plenty of stuffed toy patterns that really are cute. There is a filet pattern for placemats (how much thread do I need… Hmmmmmm) with cows that made me google to work out what a 2 1/4 size hook is.
BUT…
Filet Cow (and no, not talking about steaks… hmmmmmm… steaks…) Placemats are useful.
This just makes you look like a dill.

Would it be considered sexual assalt if someone came up to her and started milking the scarf?!?!?!
GOSH!
Okay, that’s just hideous. Its also poorly done since the udder looks more like weird fingers than nipples! I have seen a scarf similar that is equally scary but the nipples are MUCH shorter and as such it looks more “realistic”. That is if you could actually wear a cow around your neck…
I dont think there’s anything wrong with it….well, except for maybe the udder fringe.
The udders transform it from whimsical to a wee bit wrevolting.
its nothing that i would wear…or eagerly make for that matter…but my sister -in - law would love it. she owns (used to )a dairy farm!!! her house is all cows. you would think that she would have enough of them milking them twice a day 365 days a year!
Oh boy…
Okay, the cow print scarf, not bad (I wouldn’t wear/crochet it, but hey, that’s just me). Udders? that’s just wrong!
I personally think it’s adorable….but then I collect holestein cows. I’d probably do the udders a bit different though.
Leave off the “udders” and it isn’t bad. Might make a nice gift for the dairy farmer in your life (if there is one).
oh, that’s going to be my youngest sister’s gag gift this year, it’s time for _payback_;)
Reminds me to be gladful that God got that udder thing out of his system when he made Woman.
Without the udder fringe it would be cute… but that crosses the proverbial line….
OK, I looked at the picture again - why does it have spots at the end and stripes in the middle? Its a cow/zebra? Hrm… pick one animal pattern and stick with it.
Icky.
I hate to be gruesome, but it’s like she’s wearing a cowhide, only it’s a bit more complete than most.
*vomit*
I am still trying to work out how you could think it was a good idea to design a scarf with UDDERS!!
*SOBBING*
If you took off the udders this would be fine
Well….at least she isn’t wearing the udders up front…
you know without the udders this might have been acceptable. A lot of people do like the black and white Cow print.
I would like to make this…without nipples of course! Does anyone know where I can get the pattern?
Your reference to “Guns with Guns” made my day.
