Quite a number of our readers seem concerned about the Skank factor involved in the Skirts the Puppose models were “wearing”. So to break up this week (and its been a long one) I went looking for bad crochet clothing.
Some of it is too truly awful to show.
And some.. well… you do try to forgive the 70’s cringe factor..
I wanted something more.. modernistic.
And I remembered I had seen this:
Even as a Beach wrap, it strikes me as a bit unforgiving if you havent been up with the planned maintenance!
Fugly, maybe.. Something not to crochet : Definitely!

I’m glad my post about the puppose caused a frenzy as it did in my mind. lol. but this skirt….OMG…does the photo have to be so…ewwwwww…. *holding back the vomit*
This is just so stupid. If you find this attractive in any way, I don’t want to know you. Clashing colors. Badly shaped. Not even well made. And, perhaps worst of all, doesn’t do its job properly. Who wants a wrap with huge gaps in it? Even if it weren’t fugly, that totally defeats the purpose!
IMHO, one of the fugliest fugs in this fugfest.
What do you mean!? This is the most fashionable thing ever!
;p
It looks like a table covering of some kind-an ugly one at that!
Unbelievable! They found a model for it. On the other hand, we can’t see her face now, can we? UGLY!
So that’s what happened to all the balls of ugly leftover yarn at the yardsales this summer!
The little rounds’d make great coasters, though!
It won’t keep you warm. It doesn’t have any pockets to hold things. It won’t even cover your modesty. So I guess this could be some new form of jewelry that you wear around your hips for some reason, only it’s not decorative, either, except in a sort of old-doilies-from-the-thriftstore kind of way. A nice look to aim for, when choosing doilies.
Oh, don’t be so mean! The beach bunny hostess was thoughtful enough to bring beer and soda coasters for her guests! Lay out a blanket, remove your skirt thingy, spread it out and pass around the drinks! At the end of the party, pick it up, shake it off and return to your waist keeping your hands free to pick up the cans!
ugh, why does this make me think of the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, maybe something a wood nymph might wear in the privacy of her log or something.
Oh my goodness… that looks like a bunch of coasters sewn together! How truly awful.
I have to say, I was looking up crocheting and knitting because I am thinking of taking it up and I came across this picture… of course I don’t know what they were thinking just modeling it off like that. Perhaps they were leaving it up to you to use your imagination. What I saw was something fabulous, retro-unique and best of all hand made.. which pretty much makes it one of a kind. I want to make my own and just add some fabric underneath it. Thank You to the creator for such a ingenious idea!
=)
Sincerly
